Learn how to prepare for the best. 5 steps you will love to follow.

Every thought, every bit we take, and every single emotion we feel is preparing us for the rest of our lives. The good, the bad and the ugly.

There is nothing we can do that doesn`t have a direct effect on our lives.

I went through what I perceived as hell, having prepared for it rather well, though my diet, my ignorance and my stubbornness.

I thought I knew what was best for me, or I thought those who I listened to did. Or a combination rather. It taught me something of great value. The ability to plan for the best. The ability to focus on what was going to create the life I wanted and felt passionate towards. The life that I and all of us deserve.

I learned to study hard. To read more books. To take charge of what information was entering my mind. I had so much to learn.

I leared that if you think you know everything, get over yourself. If you believe you already have all the knowledge, you need a reality check. Be open and know that there is always something to learn. A wise person knows that learning never stops, and an even wiser one knows that the more they know, the more they realize they do not know.

There is no failure, only growth and experiments.
No rejection, only redirection.

The preparation for anything grand, anything with a true purpose, often hurts. Look at any great teacher of health. They have been very ill themselves as a part of their learning. A teacher of how to successfully grow a business from absolutely nothing, most likely has gone through some devastating economic times. Great teachers might come from broken and miserable lives. The best relationship counselors have been through the most heart-wrecking break ups. Through painful and trying experiences, growth will happen. This is what makes them experts. They have learned from firsthand experience, the best method of learning there is. Coupled with the words of those who have done it before them, they have prepared for their life as way-showers to others. A successful author has spent hours and hours practicing his writing. A dancer has been working with his or her body for more hours than they can remember. Sweat and frustration, mentors and long hours. Diligently focused in preparation of fulfilling their dream and passion. They all conditioned themselves for their mission. Not by thinking only, but by doing. Not by doing a little every other day, but by stepping on it, and freeing themselves from the fear of failure. They could smell greatness as a part of them. They were ready to own it, and to honor it by taking honest action.

“He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

Let yourself shine!

The internal gas pedal, the action button, it works! By living and breathing, we are always moving. Slowly moving forward by letting go and preparing. Even if it feels like you are sliding backwards, there really is no such thing. Life is never moving backwards. In reality, it’s not moving forward either. It feels like it, as we use the terms of “leaving things behind”, and “moving forward”. It is what it is, and we live in the now-moment only. Keep this in mind, when looking at life as a whole. We evolve through every single experience, no matter what it is. Our perception of life is created by our unconscious and conscious mind, and has not been trustworthy. There is a clear path ahead for those who are ready to step on it, to hit the pedal. There is freedom ahead for anyone willing to take a chance. Feel the air.

1. Speak up. Silence is golden, but not all the time. It is important to know when to hold your thoughts and opinions to yourself, and it is equally important to know when to open your mouth. To be the observer and keeping distance from drama is great. To be humble and teachable is important also. Then, when you are ready to go, you go. You have prepared, saddled up and set your destination by direction. Now it is time to be bold and determined. Take a stand, cut the cord to the old, and unleash the power within you. Be fearless and honest. Truth will always get you there. Throw in some fabulousness and pore awesomeness, and you are in it for the win. You can be strong and vulnerable at the same time. You can speak your mind, write your truth, freely live your dream.

2. Fly now. Over-preparing is called procrastination. Waiting for the right moment to get going can be fatal. When is ever the right time? You learn how to fly by spreading you wings. When you have done what you needed to do, when your enthusiasm and eagerness to move ahead is ready, you are ready. Practice, practice, practice. Prepare and jump. Get ready and go, but don’t get stuck in preparation mode. For some, jumping sooner, preparing and researching later, gives them the kick-start they need to get going. Take the leap and let your feet lift from the ground. I know the “both feet on the ground” saying. Let me tell you this: With both feet on the ground, you are not going anywhere, anytime, not sooner, not later. To live on the “free” side of life, you need to spread them, and learn how to fly. On your own.

3. Follow no one. Stop staring at someone else’s back. They might not be heading your way, and they are blocking the beautiful view. At the same time, keep observing what they are doing, you will learn something new. Be the driver, the pilot. Feel the power from that, the freedom. It will give you strength when you need it. You are never alone. You are just heading your own way, making friends and finding new partners-in-crime along the way. Take the new ride for a spin by trying out everything that you have learned, free from everything you have deleted. At this point in your life you are ready to actually make a difference. No matter if you want to be the best caregiver or a farmer, do something that has your name on it. You are unique, and have something to offer that no one else does.

4. Schedule your life. Back to the calendar that keeps you organized. It doesn’t have to be filled with every little task. That would leave no room for impulse and change. A calendar can have open spaces, intently left for winging it. We tend to write down the major events in our lives, that and business appointments and events. What about your life schedule? How will you get organized and on top of your game? Schedule some dates with yourself. Tasks that are less than your favorites; stop worrying and schedule them. Write it down, and keep your appointment. Once on paper, the brain is off the hook. You are free to use it on something other than remembering and trying to juggle what needs to be done and when. Your schedule will also allow you to see what- and how much time you spend on what. That in itself is worth it. Reality check on why you feel you have too little time.

5. Discipline for the win. Without the follow through, action is nothing. How many times have you started something, and not followed through? How many times have you set that goal, made the list, walked those first couple of steps, only to find yourself back where you used to be? When you condition yourself for a powerful life, you are toughening up all your senses. Your self-discipline is a powerful muscle. It will take you from liftoff to the landing place. Everything in between preparing, scheduling and liftoff, to getting to where you want to go, requires this tough, on-point discipline. Anything worth working towards is worth disciplining yourself for. This is your life; you are worth the efforts.

Preparing for the best is a mindset. It is a chosen focus. In the world of health and healing, of prosperity and growth, the mindset will separate the ones reaching their goals, from those who do not.
